Fort Jackson Lifeguard Training Courses 2021

All courses will be a mix of online participation, and in person water skills. Each course is three days long and all participants must attend all three days for their registered course. Participants must have access to a reliable computer and internet access. All in-person settings at Knight Indoor Pool will require adherence to Covid-19 protocols.  Masks must be worn when not in the water, and social distancing must be maintained when not performing a hands on skill. Skills will be paused when close contact is needed in order to give participants time to turn away from one another.   
Participants MUST be able to swim 300 yards continuously (freestyle, and/or breaststroke), with controlled breathing, tread water for 2 minutes without using arms, and conduct a 10-KG brick retrieval and swim in under 1 minute 40 seconds in order to continue on with the course.
