Water Aerobics

Water group exercise designed for Special population uses modified moves for individuals who may have limitations such as: hip replacement, poor circulation, pregnant, etc.  Since these classes are slower, they are also great for Seniors. (Special populations, seniors)

As part of the Summer Reading Program, the Library is partnering with the Sports and Fitness Branch to present a juicing workshop led by Pam Long, Fitness Coordinator.  Learn the difference between juice and smoothies, and sample healthy, tasty, ways to improve your meal planning.

Guest Day at the Golf Course

Guest Day at the Fort Jackson Golf Club.

To provide FJGC members with a greater opportunity to take advantage of our monthly Guest Days, FJGC members are now permitted to bring up to three guests.

Also on Guest Days, green fees are waived for your guest(s), but each guest must pay cart and user fees. Upcoming Guest Days are: 2, 10, 19, and 31 Aug; 2, 6, 14, and 28 Sep; 5, 14, 20, and 29 Oct; 2, 9, 16, and 26 Nov; and 2, 8, 14, and 20 Dec.

Offshore Fishing

Travel to Hilton Head, SC with your Outdoor Recreation team and fish 3-5 miles offshore for black sea bass, mackerel, black drum, red fish, bluefish and maybe even a shark! Climb on board the 70-foot Capt. Hook Party Fishing Boat for a 5 hour fishing trip! This boat offers shaded and seated fishing areas, restrooms, and even has snacks and drinks for sale on board.

 

Outdoor Recreation will provide the transportation and coolers for you to transport your catch back home.  Cost covers transportation, license, bait, tackle, and trip.
